The reason this is so vital is that your credit score determines how much you will be charged in interest when you do borrow money. A low credit score means high interest, and high-interest mane you are paying more out, something that is not frugal at all!

It also means that you can be free to go ahead and get the things that will genuinely make you happy, but you won’t end up frittering away all of your hard earned money on something that you later regret! The latter being a big frugal no-no.
